Source Control Business Inspection Notice

Did you receive a Source Control Business Inspection notice from the City of Bothell?

This notice is issued because your business is within Bothell’s city limits and may potentially discharge pollutants into the city's receiving waters. Due to this, your business must undergo an inspection by City of Bothell staff or a contracted consultant to ensure that source control best management practices (BMPs) are in place. These practices are crucial for preventing pollutants from entering Bothell’s stormwater, surface water, and groundwater systems.

Our Services

The inspection is mandated by the Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit. This permit, overseen by the Washington Department of Ecology, requires local governments to manage and control stormwater runoff to prevent pollution of downstream waters.
